Thursday Night Previews: Good Doing Better

Good Boys

We have preview numbers for a couple of new releases. Good Boys managed an impressive $2.1 million on Thursday, putting it in a great position to top our prediction by a substantial margin. I would love to get a pleasant surprise at the box office right now.

On the other hand, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged only managed $516,000 during its previews and this could be a sign of a disastrous weekend ahead. We will have to wait and see if audiences like the movie more than critics did and how much that will help its legs.

Meanwhile, The Angry Birds Movie added $1.43 million on Thursday to its running tally, which now sits at $5.73 million after three days of release.

There is no word on Where’s You Go, Bernadette? and Blinded By the Light.
