Synopsis
At 11:30pm on October 11th, 1975, a ferocious troupe of young comedians and writers changed television forever. Directed by Jason Reitman and written by Gil Kenan & Reitman, Saturday Night is the true story of what happened behind the scenes in the 90 minutes leading up to the first broadcast of Saturday Night Live. Full of humor, chaos, and the magic of a revolution that almost wasn’t, we count down the minutes in real time to the famous words: “Live from New York, it’s Saturday night!”

Cult horror sensation Terrifier 3 goes mainstream this weekend, and it looks like a strong bet for topping the box office chart. A month ago, that would be a shock result, with Joker: Folie à Deux expected to be shooting for something over $40 million in its second outing. Instead, Joker most likely won’t hit $20 million, and Terrifier will have the opportunity to take advantage of its opportunity. With six other films getting wide releases or expansions this weekend, we’ll see a big shake-up on the chart.
