According to Deadline, the film pulled in $611,000 over the three-day weekend for a total opening of $644,000. The first week of the month is usually the busiest for streaming services, so it is no surprise that this week is slower than last week. There are a few interesting items on this week’s list though, and it’s a sign of the times that some of the biggest names at the box office are in leading roles. Greyhound, the World War II action movie starring Tom Hanks, is the standout release of the weekend, and Charlize Theron, Andy Samberg, and Cate Blanchett all have new movies or shows debuting.

I am not hopeful about this weekend’s box office chances. Granted, there are some movies earning stellar reviews, but none of them have a hope of box office success. Palm Springs is the biggest and arguably best film on this week’s list, but it is also streaming on Hulu, so I expect it to go nowhere at the box office.
