Synopsis

When a dog and a police officer are injured together on the job, a life-saving surgery changes the course of history when Dog Man is born. Half dog, half man, Dog Man is sworn to protect and serve — as long as he isn’t distracted by squirrels—as he doggedly pursues his arch-nemesis: the feline supervillain Petey the Cat. But the rivalry between Dog Man and Petey is upended by the arrival of an adorable kitten clone of Petey, Lil Petey, who changes the game for both of them.

Weekend predictions: Dog Man headed for top on slow weekend

January 31st, 2025

Dog Man

It’ll be another slow weekend in theaters, but at least we’ll have a relatively strong opening to report on Sunday. After a series of middling performances for comparable films recently, our model is being very conservative on its prediction for Dog Man, but there’s little question it’ll top the chart this weekend. Fellow wide-opener Companion is set to finish second. More...
