Synopsis
After trying everything to get his wife Audrey pregnant, Tommy Macklin realizes to his horror that he may be "shooting blanks." Terrified that his marriage may fall apart, Tommy recruits his friends (and an Indian ex-mobster) to rob a sperm bank where he made a deposit years ago. As with any half-baked scheme, everything can and does go wrong, testing the limits of Tommy and Audrey’s relationship.

It's quite a busy week on the home market front, but most of the new releases are TV on DVD. This includes Modern Family: Season Three on DVD or Blu-ray, which is a contender for Pick of the Week. The best limited release of the week is The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel on DVD or Blu-ray, while the Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures Blu-ray Box Set is also a contender for Pick of the Week. However, in the end I went with The Cabin in the Woods Blu-ray, which is practically the only first-run release of the week.

Celeste and Jesse Forever opened in four theaters and earned just over $100,000 for an average of $26,946. This suggests a strong potential to expand. Killer Joe did expand going from three to fourteen theaters, but its theater average dipped roughly 8% to $11,647. That's an amazing hold and bodes well for the film's future.

There are seven limited releases on this week's list, but only two of them are earning overall positive reviews. None of them are earning more than 80% positive reviews, which is the level I normally associate with success in limited release. Does that mean none of them have a real shot at box office success? Hopefully not, but it could be an uphill climb for most of them. Sushi: The Global Catch is earning overall positive reviews and might find an audience, while Celeste and Jesse Forever has earned the best reviews and should perform the best at the box office.
