DVD Sales: Fifty Overshadows the rest of the DVDs

There were six new releases to reach the top 30 of the DVD sales chart this week. We also have a new number one DVD, 50 Shades of Grey, which opened with 573,000 units / $8.59 million for the week.
Black or White opened in second place with $107,000 units / $1.59 million over the week. That's not great overall, but it isn't bad compared to its theatrical run. Paddington was close behind with 104,000 units / $1.56 million for the week for totals of 320,000 units / $4.80 million after two weeks of release. Selma opened in fourth place with 102,000 units / $1.77 million. Taken 3 fell from second to fifth with 62,000 units / $911,000 over the week for three-week totals of 635,000 units / $9.42 million.
The Final Season of White Collar opened in tenth place with 23,000 units / $291,000. WrestleMania 31 landed in 14th place during its debut with 21,000 units sold. (There was a slight hiccup with the data, so revenue numbers have been delayed.) The final new release of the week was Black Sea, which was right behind in 15th place with 18,000 units / $273,000. This isn't bad, for a film that never played in more than a few hundred theaters.
