Titan Stands Tall on Per Theater Chart

Not only did Clash of the Titans top the overall box office chart, it also led the way on the per theater chart with an average of $16,213. Breaking Upwards was right behind with $15,467 in one theater. Why Did I Get Married Too? was the only other film in the $10,000 club with an average of $13,591.
None of the rest of the new limited releases came close to that mark, with The Thorn in the Heart well back at $5,173 in its one theater. The Greatest came in at $34,000 in 8 theaters for an average of $4,202 while The Warlords earned just over $10,000 in 3 theaters for an average of $3,358. Neither opening suggests room for expansion. Finally, Don McKay missed the Mendoza Line at just $1,274 per theater.
