Per Theater Chart: Session In, New Releases Out

The Sessions was the only film to top $10,000 on the per theater chart with an average of $10,868 in 20 theaters. Earning some measure of mainstream success is very likely at this point.
The best new limited release was The Loneliest Planet, which earned a respectable average of $7,845 in two theaters. Orchestra of Exiles was relatively close behind with $6,719 in its lone theater. The Other Son was playing in too many theaters and that hurt its average, which was only $3,066. Pusher bombed with an average of just $360 in 14 theaters, while Bad Blood... The Hunger was even worse with an average of $187 in ten.
