Thinking About the Per Theater Chart

There were other new limited releases that did quite well, including Marley, which opened with an average of $6,238. Given its theater count, this is an even more impressive opening. Likewise, To the Arctic opened in 50 theaters earning an average of $5,405. Meanwhile, Goodbye First Love was right behind with an average of $5,269 in four theaters. Downtown Express was not as strong during its debut with $3,474 in its lone theater. Jesus Henry Christ only managed an average of $2,688 in three theaters. My Way missed the Mendoza Line with less than $18,000 in 22 theaters for an average of just $810.
