"Gothic Horror" Movies
Horror films that tend to feature imposing mansions on isolated states where the horrors of the past threaten the safety of the characters in the present. The evils can be supernatural or man made, but tend to have some family secret involved. They also tend to have romantic elements that are not present in most other horror subgenres.
