There are even more TV on DVD releases this week, many of them worth adding to your DVD collection.
I would say that fans of TV on DVD might be tempted to mortgage their house in order to pay for all of the great sets coming out, but after the sub-prime meltdown, that's probably no longer an option. As for the DVD Pick of the Week, I decided to go with a David Hewlett double-shot with both Stargate Atlantis - The Complete Third Season and A Dog's Breakfast winning that honor.

Only two films were able to top $10,000 on the per theater chart this week and they couldn't be more different.
The overall box office leader, Wild Hogs, also led the per theater chart with $12,078.
Second place went to Into Great Silence, which made $11,355 in its lone theater over the weekend and $15,128 since Wednesday.

A weak week for limited releases, with only four opening this weekend, and half of those earning very weak reviews.
Ironically, the films earning the weakest reviews are also opening the widest.

There was a lull in the wave of Oscar hopefuls this weekend with just six limited releases, none of which were earning overwhelmingly positive reviews. Things should pick up next weekend and remain hot for the rest of the year.
